‣ Language Certificate

To be considered for admission to Columbia, you must be comfortable with rapid and idiomatic spoken English. If your native language is not English and your primarily language of instruction has not been in English for at least five years, you are required to submit a Test of English as Foreign Language (TOEFL) score. A minimum score of 600 (paper based) or 100 (new internet based test) is necessary for admission to Columbia. A minimum score of 7.0 on the IELTS is also acceptable.

‣ Notes

Only SU FASS students are eligible. To be eligible for the exchange program, students must have successfully completed at least two full years of academic work with a minimum grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Students must add two letters of recommendation from faculty or officials at the home institution who administer the exchange program, to their application folder.
