: The language of instruction is Greek. However, special arrangements for English-speaking students can be discussed with each Department.


Application Procedure:

Incoming students who plan to continue their studies in University of Crete under SOCRATES/ERASMUS grant should apply directly to International Relations Office. Requied documents are student application form and learning agreemet provided by home university, a passport photograph and verified transcript of academic record. Accepted students will register at Student’s office of their departmet upon arrival.

Fall Semester: the end of June
Spring Semester: the end of December

Academic Calendar:
Fall semester: End of September – Mid February (Examination Period: Mid January- Mid February)
Spring Semester: Mid February-End of May (Examination Period: June)
Resit Period: September (for both semesters)


Accommodation (shared flat): 250 Euros

Estimated Costs:

University of has two compus operating at Rethymnon and Heraklion. Estimeted costs of living in these cities are as fallows:
Living expenses are estimated to be about 725 Euros per month. More specifically, costs are estimated as follows:
    * Accommodation 250 Euros
    * Catering (self-catered) 200 Euros
    * Bus fares 25 Euros
    * Other expenses 250 Euros
