About Rikkyo University

Rikkyo University is highly regarded in the field ofresearch, and many of faculty members are acclaimed researchers who sit on the boards of academic societies and associations. The university often hosts major academic conferences and congresses as well as international symposia that attract participants from all over Japan and around the globe. In addition, a wide range of workshops and lectures are often held on the campus, with many open to the general public. Today, Rikkyo University has exchange agreements with many universities in the Asia-Pacific region,Europe, North and South America.


Tokyo is world's one of the most important metropolitan areas with high population, also a center for Japanese culture, finance and economics. Tokyo is a city where traditional and modern meets. The city also contains a large number of world-class universities and institutions of higher education, also the highest concentration of universities in Japan.

‣ Language Certificate

In order to take regular academic courses offered in Japanese, it is recommended that the students pass J6 level or above in the Japanese placement exam, which students need to take after their arrival at Rikkyo.
