About Tallinn University of Technology

On 1918, Tallinn University of Technology is established. Studies begin under the name of Special Engineering Courses in an Estonian-language engineering school established by the Estonian Engineering Society. Programmes were offered in mechanical, electrical, civil and hydraulic engineering, architecture and shipbuilding. It is ranked as the second university of Estonia.

1- To take courses from our School of Information Technologies, the student has to be here at least 4th study year. 2- Students are allowed to take courses from other faculties, if the background is matching these courses. 3- Exchange students can choose courses from degree programmes delivered in English. However, there may be some minor changes and restrictions for exchange students. Therefore we offer twice a year (in April and October) a special course list for exchange students at our web page www.taltech.ee/exchange> Courses in English. Students can change their Learning Agreements once they arrive to Estonia. 4- Academic Hostel www.academichostel.com provides limited amount of places for exchange students. All the applicants get information after the application deadline, when and where they have to pay the deposit. First come, first served.
