‣ Language Certificate

Language Certificate: If you will study in German, hand in a Language Certificate on your German language proficiency. If you will study in English, hand in a Language Certificate on your English language proficiency. You don\'t have to take a TOEFL or an official German Language Test, but hand in anything that proofs how good your language skills are. If you will study in English and you are a native speaker of English, you DO NOT NEED a language certificate. (most courses are held in German).

‣ Notes

1- Although most English-language courses are aimed at master students, ERASMUS students are free to take master courses during their bachelor studies as well (if this is approved by the sending institution). Course Catalog: international.tu-dortmund.de/en/incomings/erasmus/courses/ 2- As for the issue of accommodation: ERASMUS students have the opportunity to apply for a place in a dormitory. Exchange students within the framework of this program are usually also provided with accommodation. -After consultation with the departmental coordinator, one or two courses may usually be taken in another department. 3-Further Information: international.tu-dortmund.de/en/erasmus. 4- All courses offered in English by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering can be found here: https://www.mb.tu-dortmund.de/cms/de/International/Internationale-Studierende/Englischsprachige-Kurse/index.html 5- Regarding the semester dates, examination period and their duration, you will find information on the following link below: https://www.tu-dortmund.de/studium/termine-fristen/ 6- The Housing and Social Counseling Department at the International Office assists international students in finding accommodations. They provide useful links for housing in and around Dortmund on their page. Each Erasmus student is guaranteed one room.
