General Rules for Exchange Students

• All local grades from partner universities are converted into SU grades based on conversion tables approved by the Academic Council at SU
• These conversion tables may be updated due to changes in the host university’s grading system and re-evaluations by SU Faculties.
 • Students must take a minimum of 20 ECTS credits or min. 4 courses during their exchange period.
•  All credits and grades must be submitted to the SU system before the following term begins. It is student’s responsibility to follow the transcript form the partner university.
• Once grades are submitted or the semester ends, no changes can be made.
• While it is not recommended for students to take multiple courses in this matter during the exchange period, the cases of students not complying with this rule may be determined by the related Faculty/Institute Boards.
• You can check the grading table of the university you will attend through the link below:

Learning Agreement (LA)
• The Learning Agreement outlines the student’s academic program abroad before departure.
• It is signed by the student, home institution and the host institution.
• Its main purpose is to ensure that studies completed abroad will be recognized by SU.
• Only courses listed in the LA and completed with a valid letter grade will be transferred to SU with their credits and grades.
• SU course equivalents and course types are also specified in the LA.
• The LA becomes valid only after approval by the Faculty Executive Board.

Important Notes

• Students must consider graduation requirements when selecting courses.
• Full responsibility for course selection lies with the student.
• Academic advisors provide guidance, but the final decision belongs to the student.
• The graduation process begins automatically at the end of the semester for any student who has completed their degree requirements. Being selected for Erasmus+ or other exchange programs is not considered a reason to delay graduation or to request 'non-graduation' status. Once graduation requirements are met, students cannot prolong their enrollment simply to participate in an exchange program.
