1. Is there any available accommodation at host university campus?

You can check this information for the web site of the host university you will go. If there’s no dormitory available, please make sure to get information for the alternative accommodation options from the host university. Some institutions have on campus housing, others have homestay, and others will assist you in finding independent accommodations.

2. What happens if I cannot find dormitory?

Living arrangements vary by country, university and campus locations. The most common types of accommodation arranged for study abroad exchange students are residence hall-type housing, homestays, or private apartments or rooms. It is also advised to get in touch with the International Office of the host university.

3. Do I need health insurance while I am overseas?

It is mandatory that all students studying abroad be covered by insurance. It is possible to be insured before leaving. You can get further information from the host university website.

4. What should I do if I have any health and safety problems?

Please make sure that you are aware of the emergency numbers and procedures of your host university and dormitory once you arrive. In case of any emergency or health or safety problems, you can always contact the International Programs Office both at your host institution and Sabancı University.
