FEES-SCHOLARSHIPS-GRANTS
1. Do I have to pay the tuition fee of the host university? What is the procedure for the payments?
While you are not required to pay tuition fees at your host institution as an exchange student, you will be responsible for all other expenses.
To cover a part of these, depending on the kind of exchange program, you might receive an Erasmus grant (for EU-countries) or an IRO travel support (for outside EU-countries). Please note that if you do not meet the conditions under which these scholarships are granted, you will have to return the money.
In this exchange program, you must cover all their expenses other than tuition fee.
2. Will I be able to get my scholarship during the exchange period?
During the exchange period, Undergraduate students with scholarship will continue to receive their scholarships.

3. Are there any outsource scholarships for exchange period?
There are no outsource scholarships for exchange period.
4. Can I still benefit from dormitory scholarship during the exchange period?
If you have dorm scholarship at SU, you will be given the 2/3 of the scholarship for one term.

5. What is the status of graduate students’ scholarship?
Postgraduate and Doctorate students will not receive their scholarships during their exchange term.
6. When will I get my grant?
In order to receive the full grant payment, students must complete and sign the Erasmus grant agreement, submit a copy of health insurance, acceptance letter.
Your grant payments will be done to your Euro account at Akbank.
The planned grant payment will be paid to students in two installments. First installment will be the 70% of the total planned amount, before you go for your exchange term.
Rest of the grant payment will be completed after students finalize their post-exchange documents: Certificate of Participation, BT Report Survey, Transcript.
7. If I stay more or less than the exchange period, what will happen?
If you stay more than 4,5 months, you will receive the grant maximum equivalent to 4,5 months.
Student who stays less than 3 months will be required to refund their grant.
Students also who stays less than the planned duration will be required to refund.
For the duration more than full month, the grant will be calculated based on daily amount.
