Accommodation for Incoming Exchange Students
Incoming exchange students may apply to stay in the on-campus dormitories at Sabancı University.
Living on campus provides convenient access to classes, campus facilities, student clubs and social activities. This page provides general information about room types, facilities, fees and dormitory procedures.
Please note that dormitory capacity is limited, and the requested room type cannot be guaranteed.

Accommodation at a Glance
- On-campus accommodation is available to incoming exchange students, subject to capacity.
- A separate online dormitory application is required.
- Incoming exchange students are exempt from the dormitory deposit.
- Single rooms and studio rooms are not available to exchange students.
- Room assignments depend on availability.
- Bed linen, a pillow, a blanket and a mattress protector are provided.
- Laundry facilities are available free of charge.
- Each dormitory building has a shared kitchen.
- There is no curfew for entering or leaving the dormitories.
Room Types and Facilities
Incoming exchange students may be accommodated in:
- Double rooms
- Triple rooms
- Four-person rooms
- Four-person study rooms
In four-person study rooms, showers and wardrobes are located in the corridor.
The room type assigned to you may be different from your preferred room type, depending on availability. Single rooms and studio rooms are reserved for eligible full-time graduate students and are not available to exchange students.
Dormitory facilities include:
- Internet access
- Wardrobes and personal storage
- Bed linen, pillows and blankets
- Shared kitchens
- Washing machines, dryers and irons
- Common study and social areas
- Regular cleaning of rooms and shared areas
Students may keep one office-sized refrigerator in their room, subject to dormitory regulations.

Dormitory Application
On-campus accommodation requires a separate online dormitory application.
Accepted exchange students will be informed about the application process, login details and relevant deadlines by the Enrollment Office.
Please note:
- Your incoming exchange application does not serve as a dormitory application.
- Dormitory applications are not evaluated on a first-come, first-served basis.
- You may update your application until the announced deadline.
- Students who do not complete the separate online dormitory application by the deadline cannot be considered for on-campus accommodation.

Dormitory Fees and Payment
Dormitory fees are determined according to the room type and are updated for each academic year.
Incoming exchange students:
- Pay the applicable semester dormitory fee.
- Are exempt from the dormitory deposit.
- Must complete payment by the announced deadline.
- May be charged daily interest for late payments.
Payment instructions and the applicable deadline will be shared by the Accommodation Services Unit.

Students who leave the dormitory before the end of the semester are subject to the applicable refund policy.

Check-in
Incoming exchange students may check in from the earliest dormitory entrance date announced for their semester.
Please check the current Incoming Exchange Important Dates page before making your travel arrangements. Students cannot check in before the announced date unless they have received separate approval from the University.

Students arriving outside regular working hours may contact the Night Dormitory Officer at the D2 Building.
Check-out
Students must complete the required dormitory check-out procedure by the deadline announced by the Accommodation Services Unit.
Before departure, students must:
- Inform the Accommodation Services Unit of their planned check-out date at least one week in advance.
- Complete the required dormitory leave procedure.
- Remove all personal belongings from the room.
- Return the room and its facilities in the required condition.

What Should I Bring?
The University provides:
- A pillow
- A blanket
- Bed sheets
- A mattress protector
Students should bring or purchase their own:
- Towels
- Toiletries
- Toilet paper
- Laundry detergent
- Personal kitchen items, if needed
Important Dormitory Information
- Female and male students are accommodated in separate rooms.
- Only the student officially assigned to a room may stay overnight in that room.
- There is no curfew for entering or leaving the dormitories.
- Room changes may only be made with the approval of the dormitory administration.
- The assigned room type may change depending on availability.
- Students must comply with Sabancı University dormitory regulations.
- Students leaving the dormitory during the semester are subject to the applicable refund policy.
