Opening a Bank Account
After arriving at Sabancı University, you may need to make official payments or transfer money from your home country to Turkey. For example, this might be for dormitory or tuition payments. In such cases, you may need to open a bank account.
Most of our students open a bank account with Akbank, a well-known bank in Turkey, and use it for money transfers or official payments. Fortunately, there is an Akbank branch located on our campus, and you can easily open an account there.
The Akbank campus branch is on the first floor of the University Center. ATMs are available on the ground floor of the University Center and the D-2 Building. Bank hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 to 12:30 and 13:00 to 16:45.
