ERASMUS+ enables higher education teaching staff and people employed in private businesses to go abroad to teach in a higher education institution for up to six weeks. Likewise, any academic and non-academic higher education staff may receive training abroad in an enterprise or another institution.
Mobility Opportunities for Teaching Staff (STA): having teaching staff coming from abroad enables students to benefit from new lectures, different teaching methods and perhaps to experience learning in a foreign language (this is called "internationalization at home"). Teachers can gain different perspectives, establish new contacts and build their academic network. Periods are quite short, averaging about one week.
Mobility Opportunities for Administrative Staff (STT): administrative staff from higher education institutions can go abroad to receive training in a business or at another institution. The stay is an opportunity to stimulate further exchanges and co-operation.
Erasmus+ student (education and internship) and staff mobilities are conducted in accordance with the rules of Turkish National Agency.

For your teaching or training mobility at Sabancı University (SU), all grant-related payments are managed by your home institution, unless you are participating as a zero-grant staff member. You are therefore advised to contact the International Office of your home institution to receive detailed information on the funding opportunities available to you.
Erasmus+ grants contribute to travel and subsistence expenses during the mobility period. The amount of financial support may vary based on the following factors:
The host country
The level of demand from staff members in your country applying for mobility opportunities
The distance between the sending and receiving countries
The availability of additional funding sources at the national or regional level
Please note that all travel arrangements are expected to be made by the participant.
