The aim of Sabancı University's Economics Undergraduate Program is to provide students with a solid foundation in economic theory and its applications. The program is designed to be rich and flexible enough to cater to diverse expectations. For students aspiring for careers in business and management, the program offers strategic analysis and management skills. Those aiming to work as economic policy experts in both private and public sectors will acquire the necessary skills to evaluate, formulate, and implement policies in areas such as financial markets, monetary and fiscal policies, and regulation of infrastructure sectors. Additionally, a specific goal of the program is to introduce students to the challenges of the Turkish economy within a comparative perspective.

Moreover, the program ensures that students interested in pursuing a Ph.D. in economics develop the requisite mathematical and technical backgrounds and acquaints them with topics covered in leading international Ph.D. programs. Information regarding the research areas of our broad and young academic staff, which includes members of TÜBA (Turkish Academy of Sciences), recipients of awards in international conferences, TÜBİTAK science awards, TÜBİTAK incentives, and TÜBA-GEBİP science awards, can be found on their personal web pages, our research web page, or the graduate studies web page.
